Mohammed Eshan, a first-generation entrepreneur from Madurai, took a leap of faith when he left his job in Dubai due to family circumstances. Despite facing financial challenges and opposition from those around him, he started an AI-based company, ASK EVA, in 2021 with just Rs. 16,000 and a small, ten-by-ten room. Initially, the idea of an AI-driven chatbot company seemed almost impossible to others, especially when no one around him understood the potential of AI. Ishan, however, was driven by a deep belief in the future of AI and its ability to transform industries, especially with the increasing demand for automation.

Turning Setbacks Into Opportunities for Growth

Before starting ASK EVA, Ishan had worked in Dubai’s messaging industry after completing his BTech in IT. In 2019, family circumstances forced him to return to India, and with no money left, he was determined to build something of his own rather than go back to a corporate job. He initially ventured into app development, website development, and digital marketing through his first company, Tune Path Technology, which helped him gather the funds to kickstart his dream project—ASK EVA. The journey was not easy, with many challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, but his perseverance and vision kept him going.

Ishan's Bold Leap into success AI

Despite initial struggles, including skepticism from people around him, Ishan refused to give up. Building ASK EVA was a solo effort at first, as he single-handedly managed all the tasks while gradually expanding his team. The company, which started as a small startup in 2021, is now turning over Rs. 6 crore per year in just three years. Ishan's determination to make his startup succeed, despite the odds, has paid off. His story is a testament to how belief in one's vision, even when the world doubts it, can lead to incredible success.
